Fun fact: If you drive out towards the Pacific Missile Range Facility, you’ll be as far West as you can drive on a public road in one of the United States (or at least as far West as you can drive without access to the range).

Glad you said public. Key word. Ol’ forbidden Niihau has some private dirt roads to the more west.

There are roads in Alaska further west though?

Or if you include territory, Guam is a bit further West.

I do know that the southernmost point is on the Big Island - South Point. I went there a couple of years ago, it’s pretty (like the rest of Hawaii).

South point was a neat place. I drove down there last year (on Oppo’s recommendation) when we were on the Big Island.

LOL I might have been one of the peeps recommending it. I’ve visited 3 islands so far (Kauai, Maui, Hawaii) and loved them all, but they’re so different. Kauai is my favorite though, if I had to choose. Much quieter than the other two - but being on top of Haleakala was pretty awesome.

Where you staying? Taking the fam there in July/August and staying at Kauai beach resort...lotta jet noise, but the price is right...
Go to Coconuts for outstanding fish tacos...

I’m in Poipu, it’s on the south coast.
